Having tools and processes that allow the design of high-level of information systems is a classic area of work within software engineering.
From “QHealth: Quantum pharmacogenomics applied to ageing” project team, we are immersed in a research process that allows us to infer a set of principles, basic concepts, tools and high-level processes, focused on the development of quantum models and algorithms, based on the quantum annealing computing paradigm.
As one of the lines of research, we are investigating new design tools, to provide an alternative for the formal, graphic and high-level definition of models and optimization algorithms based on quantum annealing.
Currently, quantum vendor platforms are not stable yet and are in constantly change.
Quantum Annealing, on the other hand, is a very powerful computing technique, but it requires specific mathematical/physical knowledge that depends on the context of the problem to be addressed, which does not always lead to an intuitive model with which to formulate the problem.
In this way, the main objective of this line of research is to minimize dependence on the environment against potential changes in the manufacturer’s tools and platforms.
The “QHealth: Quantum pharmacogenomics applied to ageing” project, presented to the “MISSIONS” program of the Center for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, began its execution in August 2020
