Within the framework of the actions to promote the industry and the training of personnel related to quantum software programming and engineering, included in the Talavera Manifesto, aQuantum has created the aQuantum Fundamentals portal which gathers information on different topics related to the basic concepts, the state of the art and technology in quantum software.
The extensive collection of information on quantum software (+350 initial records) is presented in aQuantum Fundamentals ordered through this navigation structure:
- 2nd Quantum Revolution
- Research Agendas
- Manifestos
- Quantum Computing
- Impact on Technoloy
- Applications in Sectors
- Quantum Software Engineering
- Standards
- Teaching
- Workforce
- Ethics & Legal
- Publications
- Events
The portal is in English and Spanish to provide readers in both languages with access to the main resources (articles, videos, books, etc.) related to quantum computing in general and, especially, to Software Engineering and Quantum Programming. These contents can be accessed through the Fundamentals item in the Resources option of the aQuantum menu.
aQuantum Fundamentals is the result of one of aQuantum’s research lines, Quantum software workforce: competences and training, in which our R&D is aimed at defining the most relevant profiles and competencies required for the workforce in Quantum Software Engineering and Programming in order to design efficient study plans for them. Many of the results of this line of research, such as this portal, are part of aQuantum’s direct contribution to quantum literacy. Therefore, aQuantum Fundamentals is integrated as the information base of aQuantum Knowledge Portal, the online support center designed for QPath® developers.
Given its objectives and content, this portal, together with the aQuantum Knowledge portal, constitutes a very good specialized information base for all those students and software professionals who are starting or already working in Quantum Software Engineering and Programming. Therefore, it has been worth the great effort of the aQuantum by Alarcos team to make it possible and, above all, the one that will require keeping it updated from its launch.
We hope that this effort will be useful to all those interested in getting into this new paradigm of computing, so promising for its potential and multiple applications.
